Voluntering at helios

The Helios has three part-time staff, but is otherwise predominately supported by approximately 50 volunteers who are crucial to the running of the charity. This also includes our Trustee Greg Branson, who founded the charity in 1982.

We have a variety of volunteering roles including volunteers who help on our busy reception desk, those who help with bookkeeping and data entry, research work, DIY, graphic design, general admin, fundraising and other roles.

We are always looking for new volunteers, so if you think that you might be interested please contact us.

We pay travel expenses and a meal allowance. We also give volunteer access to treatments. We also sometimes run training courses for volunteers – e.g. First Aid, personal development type courses, and other workshops – e.g. an introduction to a particular therapy, or yoga/meditation.

We sometimes put a listing on Team London when we are looking for specific volunteer skills.
